Comme la vérification de clôture après le 1er juin 2026 n’a pas encore eu lieu, 2025 ne devrait pas être présenté comme totalement figé; le paysage actuel penche toutefois très fortement vers Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. The Game Awards et NAVGTR ont tous deux choisi Clair Obscur, et Kingdom Come: Deliverance II reste le plus proche concurrent, mais à bonne distance. Le reste du haut de tableau est plus fragmenté, avec Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, Hades II, Dispatch, Donkey Kong Bananza, Ghost of Yotei et Hollow Knight: Silksong qui se partagent l’attention restante.
